CK Group is currently recruiting for an Instructional Design Illustrator to join a global drug delivery device team within a leading Pharmaceutical company. The role will be based in Cambridge and offered on an initial 12 month contract basis.
The role will be full time, office-based and will require the instructional design illustrator to take on user instruction design amongst other diverse graphic design activities for internal and external projects.
A core activity within device development is the design of clear user instructions and training materials in the form of printed 2D graphics. User documentation now comes under the scrutiny of regulators and the effectiveness of such documentation is a regulatory requirement. Testing of user instructions in the hands of intended product users is a mandatory process to enable optimisation and the success of instruction design is key to being able to launch the company's portfolio of drug products.
The Instructional Design Illustrator should have the following key skills, knowledge and experience:
??Excellent document design ability with keen eye for layout and content appropriateness.
??Strong ability to develop User Instructions / training materials.
??Flair for creating graphic concepts and exploratory graphical styles.
??Comfortable in taking a concept sketch all the way through to implementation (print-ready).
??Able to work within design constraints but recognise where areas of design freedom exist and exploit them.
??Strong attention to detail in graphical, typographical and copy.
??Highly proficient in vector and bitmap graphical packages (Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop)
??Proficient in Adobe Indesign
??Good IT skills essential with good experience with typical Microsoft Office applications including MS Power
Please note that your CV should show exact dates of employment (month and year) and any gaps of a month or more should be explained.
CK Group is an Equal Opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all who meet our selection criteria.
If you do not hear back from us within 5 working days of your application for this role, it means that on this occasion you have not been shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment campaign. Entitlement to work in the EEA is essential. Please quote reference KA42147 in all correspondence
