Production Planner (Steel, Planning)

Our Client is a global leader in stainless steel with a crude stainless steel capacity of 3.1 million tonnes. They create advanced materials that are efficient, long lasting and recyclable – helping to build a world that lasts forever.

They are currently looking to appoint an SLP Hirework Production Planner, as part of the Long Products Business Unit based in Sheffield. This is a permanent, full time position.

Within the role you will be responsible for the management of the hireworkers used in SLP. Managing the hirework purchase orders and the capacity reservations, you will support in the creation and updating of the Service Level and Quality Agreements. Managing and booking the transport for the routes to and from the hireworkers, you will aim to improve lead times whilst setting and reviewing the appropriate buffer stocks etc.

They are looking for someone who has previous experience in production planning within the steel industry. With a very good understanding of key supply chains concepts and planning techniques, you will have multiple stakeholder management experience. Excellent organisational and planning skills are also essential.
