IRIE! wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Caretaker / cleaner for the Moonshot Centre. This role involves a range of duties such as cleaning, ground maintenance and basic repairs. It could be an ideal next step in your career if you've worked as a caretaker or a handyperson, or in a housing or facilities role.
What you'll be doing:
The post includes responsibility for:
• The security of the premises and its contents (including the operation of the intruder alarm, security systems and key holder responsibility. This may include unsocial hours' emergency call outs)
• The Health and Safety management of the premises
• Porterage and handy-person duties
• Preparing rooms for hires
Who we need
We need local people who share our values, people who are friendly, customer focused, calm and can work with a wide range of people. Being well organised is essential.
You'll bring a 'can do' attitude and a proactive approach to building maintenance. You will be an outgoing and effective communicator, with excellent customer service skills. You're likely to have relevant trade or handyperson experience. You'll need to understand Building Health and Safety and safeguarding of both children and adults.
We are looking for someone who is also able to work under their own initiative and prioritise tasks, pay attention to detail and who will take pride in keeping the Moonshot Centre safe. Be friendly, reliable and flexible. Have good communication skills. Be computer literate and have good DIY skills.
What we offer
• A salary of GBP21,216 per annum
• 1-year full time contract
• 20 days Annual Leave
• Enrolment in the Workplace Pension Scheme
