Housingrecruit.com is advertising for a Support Worker on behalf of our client, a leading social housing provider based in Manchester.
This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time Support Worker at Wilson Carlisle House in Manchester working 37.5 hours per week. You will work on 5 week rolling rota working one weekend in five. Shifts are 9am -5pm, 7.30am - 3.30pm, 1pm - 9pm, 2pm - 10pm and 11am - 7pm. The weekend shift is Saturday and Sunday 11am - 7pm.

Wilson Carlisle House is a 38-bed homeless hostel for men aged 18 – 65 who are ex-offenders.
As a Support Worker, you will be helping our customers to manage and sustain tenancies. You will secure the services and provide the support they require (drugs Mental Health Alcohol), improving customer’s health and well-being,
You will support customers with moving towards work, skills and education training (meaningful occupation), reducing their social isolation with the aim of move-on to independent living.
The Support worker will carry a caseload of 9 customers putting in place a full comprehensive Risk assessment and support plan and be competent in doing this, working with the customer through 121 Key work sessions, focusing on the risk and needs of the customer.
The successful applicant will be dynamic, enthusiastic and a proactive person that has had support work experience. Support workers liaise closely with police probation Drug/Alcohol & Mental Health teams. The successful candidate will have to have demonstrable IT skills and be used to working on many different systems
Your role will involve, providing positive support for our clients with risk assessments and support plans, you will work through challenging barriers, and empower clients to develop the skills needed to live independently.
You will work proactively, to form strong relationships and gain clients' trust, striving to provide the best possible service levels.
