An exciting opportunity has arisen at Cheltenham College for a full-time Gardener. Reporting to the Head Gardener, you will work as part of a small team delivering a high standard of garden maintenance and hard and soft landscaping within the Cheltenham College campus.
We seek a reliable individual, with good initiative and the ability to work unsupervised. A good knowledge of horticulture and a qualification in horticulture or similar discipline would be preferable but not essential. Candidates must be able to maintain a positive attitude in all winds and weathers.
As well as the requirements listed above, this role would require a full clean driving licence and preferably experience of driving a trailer. PA1 and PA6, brush-cutter and chainsaw certification is desirable but not essential. A willingness to take on additional duties would be required, such as supervising the team in the absence of the Head Gardener, helping with machine maintenance and maintaining pesticide records.
Salary range between £16-17k per annum, depending on experience.
