Water Treatment & Facilities Engineer
Required on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
The general day to day running & maintenance of the site waste process water treatment plant and general facilities maintenance activities across site.
This is primarily a hands on role however you will be expected to call on and oversee outside contractors as required.
The role will cover and have an oversight of all site services industrial equipment, Generators, Boilers, Compressors, Dryers, Chiller's, etc. Responsibilities include identifying opportunities for cost reduction through effective maintenance and improvements.
Key Tasks and Accountability's:
On shift operation & maintenance of the Process Waste Water Treatment plant and towns water feed systems to provide uninterrupted supply of process water for the 2 production wash plants.
Daily, Weekly checks & maintenance of Compressed Air delivery systems, Generators, Boilers, Chiller's, Sprinkler system, water systems.
Legionella control checks and specialist contractor control.
Site wide WC facilities, inspection, repairs etc.
Arranging & overseeing septic & interceptor tank emptying and maintenance checks.
Arranging & overseeing specialist contractors for maintenance and compliance inspections, Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler system, Air Conditioning, Chiller's, Boilers.
General factory & office based buildings repairs.
Review and improve existing equipment and facilities in a controlled and methodical manner
Any other ad hoc duties as required
We are looking for someone who has excellent team working skills whilst able to work under own initiative, able to work under pressure and deliver results, a can do attitude, flexible, has attention to detail and looks for continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experiences:
You will ideally had several years experience in a similar role.
Chemical knowledge and experience advantageous.
Apprentice trained qualified Multi Skilled engineer, C&G, NVQ level
10 Years in a Engineering/Maintenance and/or facilities engineering role
comfortable working with engineering drawings.
SHIFT PATTERN:
4 on x 4 off 12 hr shifts DAYS ONLY
