Our client is on a mission to give schools the tools to enable them to teach character and life skills in their classrooms.
How? By giving them amazing online resources, kit and equipment to enable them to give varied and challenging sessions on their character curriculum.
They have set themselves some challenging, but very achievable sales targets to grow their businesses, and to support this growth, they have created this new role to ensure that they are giving fantastic service to all schools.
The Job
Main Duties and responsibilities of a Business Development Manager:
- Generate sales
- Follow up new business opportunities and creating/closing opportunities
- Planning and preparing presentations; presenting at conferences etc
- Communicating new product developments to existing and prospective clients
- Maintain all relevant details and contacts on CRM
- Provide management with up-to-date feedback
- Work closely with senior management to ensure a consistent approach
- Liaising with the wider team to ensure consistent relationship with clients
We are still a relatively young company, and sometimes priorities can change fast and they need people that are comfortable with this and can roll with the punches.
You need to have excellent organisation skills, along with customer service experience (minimum 12 months). Great IT skills are a must, with the ability to pick up new systems.
Key Requirements:
- Degree qualification, ideally in Sales/Marketing
- Customer Service/Sales experience
- Some exposure to the education industry would be extremely beneficial but not essential
- You will need a full driving licence
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Great organisational skills, with a pro-active approach
- Excellent telephone manner
- High level of attention to detail
