Our client provides network support and develops IT systems, serving the SME marketplace. They are now seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team.

As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll be tasked with supporting the financial health of the company through providing assistance to the Accountant and customers. 

Specifically, your role will involve processing sales and purchase invoices, credit control activities and producing ad hoc reports. 

You’ll spend a significant portion of your time dealing directly with customers to respond to their queries or chase payments. As such, strong written and verbal communication skills will be a key attribute. 

Additionally, you’ll work alongside the Purchasing Team and assist with budget creation and other projects. 

So, is this the role for you? If so, you will need: 

- Experience of producing invoices and undertaking credit control and reconciliations 
- To be working towards a recognised accountancy qualification (AAT or similar) 

Accurate and organised, as an Accounts Assistant, you’ll need to be able to work fast but in a methodical way, be able to multitask and be comfortable forging relationships with customers quickly and easily. An excellent level of IT literacy will also be key.
