The Technology Portfolio delivers change at an enterprise level and is primary focused on shared infrastructure and applications upgrades that are used across the organisation. There are a large number of projects within the Portfolio spanning from basic infrastructure changes though Security driven initiatives into application upgrades. The Head of Technology Change will own change demand from business roadmaps for change, support the construction/shaping of approved business cases for each approved change request, execute on the delivery of the change and prepare all necessary business functions to realise the business benefits of all approved change within scope of their change portfolio. Before you apply, we encourage you to learn more about Old Mutual Wealth Inclusive features In addition, as part of the core Change Management team, the role holder will play an active role in supporting the SD&IT Exec members to engage with multiple stakeholders, both senior and across the organisation in the successful development and delivery of the Change function. Alongside this role we are also recruiting a Head of Regulatory Change, a Head of Strategic Change and a Head of Central Functions Change. Key Responsibilities and Scope of role: * Acts as an integral part of the SD&IT and Change Management leadership community, role modelling our core behaviours and leading by example. * Work with Business Sponsors to facilitate the construction, approval and execution of specific Change Roadmaps. * To lead a Change Programme/Portfolio aligned to specific market/business areas and strategy, working closely in partnership with the key senior stakeholders to ensure delivery in line with agreed milestones, priorities, to quality standards and to budget. * Provide Line and Task management to three teams; Programme Management, Business Analysis and Business Readiness. * Act as the single point of contact and ownership for all change demand within their change portfolio (Concept through to Benefits Realisation). * On behalf of the Change Management community, ensure adherence to all aspects of Change Management practices eg Resource Management, Forecasting Management etc. * Ensure strong budgetary control and financial management is undertaken to shape and manage Programme/Portfolio to agreed budget, developing these in accordance with wealth management finance deadlines and standards. * Work with the Central Enterprise PMO to deploy all agreed Change Management Standards within own portfolio of change. Fully comply with agreed Governance Models and Terms of Reference. * Have a good understanding of and consistently comply with the regulatory framework within which the portfolio operates. * Build strong relationships with stakeholders, through communication and engagement to become a trusted partner; resolving issues, searching for solutions and understanding opportunities to ensure delivery. * Collaborate with SD & IT teams, third parties, business SMEs to ensure that they work effectively, utilising knowledge, skills, resource and experience that are available. * Contribute to the future of the SD&IT function in terms of strategy, organisational design and culture. * Act as a deputy for the Director of Enterprise Change, International /UK CIOs or other Heads of Change Delivery as required. * Act as an ambassador for SD&IT creating and reinforcing a strong customer focus, responsive, "can do" culture across the function. * Ensure active development through coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing of the change team members working within programmes within your responsibility and across the wider Change function. Ensuring a consistent approach to change and shared best practice. * Acute awareness and management of risk, actively managing or escalating risk. * Provide support, peer-review and quality assurance to other initiatives within the Change function when required. Direct reports will vary based on portfolio/programme demand for Change. Direct Line will include Programme Managers, Principal Business Analysts and Business Readiness teams. Indirect reports will also vary based on demand and will be made up from Business SMEs, third parties etc. Expectations are not less than 3 Direct Reports and 40 plus indirect reports at any time.
