Contract type: Monday- Friday 37 hours temporary to cover permanent post holder and will end on her return.  This is expected to be 30 April 2019 but may end earlier or later than this.

Job purpose

This post is a central support role for centralised records and information management service.  The team provides a records, library and information service across NRW.  The post holder handles queries from staff across all NRW departments and must provide excellent customer care.

The post is also responsible for co-ordination the implementation of NRWs knowledge and records harvesting policy by proactively contacting relevant managers and providing advice when staff leave NRW or move.  This is to ensure that staff have the appropriate advice on retaining corporate knowledge and records as staff leave or move.

You will be a committed person to deliver and improve the delivery of NRW records management and information services and systems. You'll need to be a confident communicator, good at building rapport and have a strong understanding of records management compliance and business requirements.  You will work closely and support other members of the Records and Information Services Team

Job Specific Criteria

  1. Excellent computer literacy, and previous use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and e-mail - essential
  2. Experience of and accurate data entry skills - essential
  3. Previous experience of managing paper and electronic documents and/or working in a library - essential
  4. Good interpersonal and organisational skills - essential
  5. Good written and verbal communication skills, and experience of delivering presentations and/or training - essential
  6. Must be able to reach and bend to pick items from shelves; must be able to lift and carry moderately heavy boxes of paper files (manual handling training will be provided) - essential
