Commercial Vehicle Sales Manager – New Business - £Competitive Salary – Luton, Bedfordshire – Full Time, Permanent.

What you can expect

From a National perspective, role will be responsible in delivering maximum sales performance and commercial vehicle expertise and managing customer relationships for commercial vehicles through direct relationships and relationships through major Leasing companies.  A Commercial Vehicle Sales Manager is also responsible for the following:

  • Identify and target non-buying commercial vehicle prospects, with a view to securing new business relationships and CV supply arrangements for the organisation.
  • Support Fleet Sales Managers in working with major Vehicle Convertors on opportunities for vehicle conversions on their current and future CV model range. Liaise with them and other PSA Brands CV product team on future product and conversion strategy.
  • Conversion plan development in coordination with sales and market plans. Support local conversions certification process with OV Europe functions.
  • Conversion quality - Support OEM Core and Compound Conversions offer and sales. Fast reaction on local needs or issues in support of customer’s needs. Effective interaction with NSC Sales and Field team.
  • Intensive field work with CV dealers and Converters reviewing sales results/issues and Demo and Stock needs or situation. Represent NSC participating in local/regional relevant conversion events, meetings, fleet customers negotiations, regional shows.
  • Ensure that all CV sales opportunities are maximised by working with Fleet Sales Managers on current customers whereby a car supply arrangement exists but no van supply arrangement in place.
  • Prepare a sales strategy and manage an ongoing Mega Prospect list to ensure brand consideration progress is made and conversion/share penetration is met.  Obtain an understanding of all major prospective fleets in order to position their products versus the competition.
  • Build relationships with Leasing company contacts and respond to opportunities and RFQs. Demonstrate excellent networking skills with retailers, lease companies and fleet management companies to maximise opportunities and generate new leads.
  • Ensure Demo fleet utilisation is maximised in order to promote their full CV range via extended trials of their vehicles
  • Manage and maintain CRM system (Salesforce) to ensure prospect fleet information is captured and updated on a regular basis and associated tasks are completed and set on an ongoing basis.
  • Provide the company and competitor CV product expertise and providing market and fleet operator feedback to them.
  • Maximise working time to meet key objectives on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis through good planning.
