As an ABA Tutor you will be pleased to know this mainstream primary school aims to create an enriching, caring and supportive environment.
To be successful in your application to this ABA Tutor role you will need be be educated to degree level, ideally in a related field and have a demonstrable passion for education. Previous experience of working with children and/or people with special needs is preferred. The ABA Tutor must have experience of teaching children and young people with autism using the principles of ABA, alongside emotional and physical resilience to meet the challenges of working in a demanding (but also rewarding) environment.
You will be the key worker for one child with ASD in a mainstream classroom. You will be responsible, with the class teacher, to plan and deliver 1:1 sessions along with paired and small group teaching sessions using ABA across a variety of settings. You will also be monitoring the progress the student makes integrating within the wider classroom.
As an ABA Tutor you must be able to work effectively in a team environment and what this fantastic school can offer in return is ongoing in house continued professional development and support and supervision from experienced teachers and ABA professionals.
