Quantity Surveyor

We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a world-renowned industry leading Consultancy. Based from our client's regional office in Newcastle, the successful Quantity Surveyor will be working on a variety of projects within the property sector, from Educational to Leisure to Commercial. Project values vary from GBP500K up to around GBP50M.

The successful Quantity Surveyor will be providing a full pre and post contract quantity surveying service. Duties will include, but not be limited to, preparing feasibility studies, managing cost estimates, selecting procurement routes and tendering strategies, preparing tender and contract documents, undertaking monthly valuations and negotiating final accounts. Other duties will be discussed as required.

It is envisaged that the successful QS will hold MRICS status, although this is not essential as our client have an excellent programme in place to help people complete their APC. Experience of working for consultancies, or client side, will also be hugely beneficial. A high degree of computer literacy will be important to successful delivery of the role, and CostX software experience will be highly beneficial.

Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

• MRICS status preferable, but not essential
• Relevant degree
• CostX software experience beneficial
• Computer literate
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration

• Competitive salary
• Working hours: 08:30 - 17:00, Monday - Thursday and 08:30 - 16:00 on Friday
