Job Description 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Community Youth Worker who is committed to making a difference to the lives of young people through the facilitation, delivery and development of Carrbridge Centre youth based programmes.

The main responsibilities of the post will be to engage with young people through individual and group activities, mentoring sessions and planning and delivering workshops in order to motivate and bring about sustainable personal development. To contribute to the ongoing strategic development, evaluation and reporting of the youth programmes. Also to prepare and distribute publicity and promotional materials including the use of social media.

The post holder will have recent experience of the delivery and development of youth engagement activities, knowledge and understanding of the issues faced by individuals and groups from varying backgrounds and experience /understanding of working within an evidence based environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a good understanding of safeguarding practice and a good awareness of organisations and support agencies available to young people is desirable. Having good IT skills together with the ability to use databases and input data and the use of email and MS Office packages are essential.

The post holder must hold a relevant qualification in youth work, mentoring/coaching or education of young people. A qualification in wider activities relating to young people e.g. sports music and the spoken word is desirable.
