ABOUT US:
The Woodland Trust is the UK's leading woodland conservation charity. We want to see a UK rich in native woods and trees, for people and wildlife. The Trust aims to engage and inspire people about woods and trees to help us meet our vision of creating, restoring and protecting woodland. But we can't achieve our vision without a solid digital team and that's where you come in!
THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Senior Web Developer role to join our digital team. The role will involve working across all areas of our digital estate, from our main web platforms to ancillary sites / services. The main responsibilities will be to expand/improve existing platforms but also be part of the creation of new ones in line with the digital vision.
The role requires the candidate to be able to demonstrate experience in building public facing websites using Umbraco CMS.
THE CANDIDATE:
You'll be working in an environment of rapid change with people that are passionate about the quality of the projects they deliver. It is therefore important that the Senior Web Developer is customer focused and flexible in their approach with exceptional communication and problem solving skills. It is important to us that everyone is able to share their specialist skill sets and willing to coach others.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
There's no other organisation like the Woodland Trust. Whatever you do here you will be supporting our work to protect and enhance woods and trees. In return, we recognise and value our people. You'll have our full support, training and opportunities for professional development, along with contributory pension, life assurance and good holiday entitlement.
We operate Agile working where we empower our people with the flexibility to use the most appropriate working space available. This may be in an office at a desk with your team, breakout area, or occasional home working
