Regional Sales Manager – Northern

Premier Cement Limited is a fully owned subsidiary of Irish Cement Limited and CRH plc. Irish Cement Ltd has manufactured cement in Ireland for over 75 years and has been importing to the United Kingdom through a network of Cement Terminals since 2010. The Northern Region consists of three terminals, located in Liverpool, Salford & Howden serving a market stretching from Anglesey to Hull and Cumbria to the North Midlands.

Premier Cement Limited is seeking applications for the position of a Regional Manager. The successful candidate must have very strong commercial experience and will be responsible for sales across the Northern Region. They will also have General Management responsibility for performance of the three terminals and will report to the General Manager of Premier Cement Limited.

The key responsibilities of the position are:

  • Achieve agreed sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Sales revenue collection and credit control.
  • Ongoing customer liaison duties.
  • Manage the sales and production activities through the sites by effective management of personnel.
  • Ensure excellent Health, Safety and Environmental Management across all sites.
  • Work closely with the Operations and Supply Chain team to provide a consistently first class service to the customer.

 

 

The above list is not exhaustive. The successful candidate will be expected to perform duties as necessitated by the changing role and the overall business objectives of the Company, as directed.

Candidates must possess:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills as evidenced by previous work experience.
  • Evidence of previous success in, at least, a junior management role.
  • Evidence of working in a sales environment where strong relationship building skills are required.
  • Experience in a Concrete / Civil Engineering or Construction related role.
  • Proven business acumen, negotiating and technical skills.
  • A work history of contributing and adding value to the overall performance of a previous employer(s).
  • A full and clean, drivers licence.

A 3rd level qualification is desirable but not essential
