We are currently working with a leading travel agency based in South East London. They are looking for an Administrator to join their team to provide administrative support to both the reservations team and the overseas sales team.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking reservation requests daily from from the South East Asia sales office
  • Using the in house computer system to prioritise work load and work to deadlines and arrival dates
  • Contacting hotels to meet sales targets either by phone or email
  • Using the in house system to check rates and negotiate conditions from upgrades to Cancellation policies
  • Handling amendments and cancellations
  • Dealing with quotation queries from the sales team based on hotel, coach price and margins

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • A keen eye for detail
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills , you will be expected to communicate with customers and industry professionals both in the UK and globally
  • Ideally have exposure to working in the travel industry dealing with hotel reservations
  • Be patient and have the ability to work well under pressure
  • Comfortable negotiating both over the phone and face to face
  • 1 year Office admin experience

Full training will be provided however the ideal candidate should be comfortable using the following packages:

  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word

An interest in the travel industry and exposure to liaising with an overseas sales office is desirable.
