Asset Manager

The Ouse and Humber Drainage Board is the largest Internal Drainage Board in Yorkshire, located at the confluence of the Rivers Ouse and Yorkshire Derwent with extensive frontage along the Humber Estuary. It is responsible for the maintenance and management of over 260 miles of rivers, watercourses and 19 pumping stations that serve a drainage district of over 132 square miles. The Board’s operations drain around 20% of the East Riding of Yorkshire.

As the Board’s Asset Manager, you will be responsible for planning and management of operational maintenance activities of the Board, partner Boards and the Environment Agency (under public-sector cooperation agreements).

The successful candidate will have a proven track record working at a senior level in the Flood and Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) sector, will be a resourceful and motivated individual with a ‘can do’ attitude that understands how advances in asset management techniques can be used to improve service delivery and efficiency with limited resources.

The role comes with a competitive salary (within a rising salary band) ranging from £41,208 to £45,804 (subject to experience and qualifications), along with an attractive benefits package including a vehicle allowance and enrolment into the Local Government Pension Scheme.
