Job Purpose

My client are looking for a Technical Designer (Revit) to join their growing team.

Providing quality integrated technical design drawings and site surveys which conform to BIM (Building Information Modelling) standards and satisfy our customer and supplier requirements.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
•Regularly receive a design brief from within the business, discuss and negotiate with Technical Design (BIM) Manager to identify the course of action for the design need - internal/external
•Interacting and work closely with key stakeholders (Relationship Managers, Project Managers, Project Coordinators) using the support of our Approved Inspectors to provide technical assistance as required
•Establishing relevant levels of drawing/technical information required for individual projects both for the client and manufacturer

•Carrying out site surveys of retail projects, drawing up the site survey detail and producing a detailed set of drawings (which include elevations, GA, RCP, door schedules, floor schedules etc.)
•Creating and developing 2D & 3D working drawings from sketches, surveys or descriptions from our clients or project managers.
•Reviewing own drawings for completeness prior to checking from team members and maintain all revisions of project drawings.
•Managing the design expectations in light of the customer requirements and prioritise personal work allocations accordingly (frequently updating the resource software)
•Adhering to BIM standards by modelling, detailing and as appropriate creating Revit families in response to project needs
•Keeping abreast of changes to regulations and legislation and ensure that these are reflected in working practices and procedures
•To Follow and comply with all policies and procedures of the business which includes the Health and Safety procedures, ensuring personal safety and the safeguarding of the interests and safety of all staff, visitors, and contractors

•Carry out other duties relevant to your post as reasonably required by management
