Salary: Band 8 - £26,470 to £29,909 per annum
Job Type: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract for 3 years
Hours: 37 hours per week

The Council has a fantastic opportunity work with their ambitious planning and housing teams to support growth in the area. Planning and delivering new housing in the district is a top priority for the Council and this dynamic role will work alongside local communities, developers and their in-house planning and housing specialists to support the delivery of new homes in their rural villages and market towns.
If you are a great communicator, have a desire to be at the forefront of delivering the right type of new homes of all types and tenures in the best locations, plus hold a good level of understanding of the key challenges that affect housing delivery they'd like to hear from you!
The Council has a very successful track record in supporting local communities develop neighborhood plans and this role will take that support to the next level by developing a specialist understanding of the local housing market to ensure that neighborhood plans positively plan for local needs. The post holder will be required to work with a number of internal and external stakeholders to collate evidence and statistical information relating to housing need, share data to ensure that local communities understand and plan for this need, and work closely with the Development Management team when planning applications come forward.
