The Children’s Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 130 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We’re there for children, every step of the way.

This role sits within our children and young people's directorate, which works to provide immediate one-to-one and group support for children who urgently need support. This is an exciting opportunity to join The Children’s Society Nottingham Team. Based within a hub of multi-disciplinary services working with young people you will lead the Next Generation Service – an innovative ‘test and learn’ initiative that seeks to develop new approaches in working with disadvantaged young people. You will manage a small team of highly skilled staff who excel in relationship building and supporting young people to access support services. You will have strong communication skills and be able to establish networks across a range of stakeholders. You will have a strong understanding of the young people’s sector, systems and processes and will be able to think creatively when faced with challenges.

This position is initially fixed term ending 31/3/19 however we anticipate that the post will receive follow-on funding for 2019-20.
