Field Veterinary Officer (Scotland & Northern England) - Home Based
Salary GBP52,030.80, plus excellent benefits including car or car allowance and a home working allowance
We are looking for a qualified veterinary surgeon with at least five years' experience in small animal practice to join Cats Protection's Veterinary Department. Reporting to the Senior Field Veterinary Officer the post-holder will be involved in the development and delivery of veterinary services throughout the charity with specific responsibility for the adoption centres and branches in the North of England and Scotland. The role is home-based and candidates must live in the area specified in the job description - extensive travel is necessary for the execution of the post holder's duties throughout the UK.
The successful candidate will be pro-active, self-motivated with excellent communication skills, have a special interest in feline medicine and welfare and be able to work at a senior level within the charity. He or she will have the personality and knowledge to enthuse and engage with volunteers, staff and professional colleagues and help to promote Cats Protection's veterinary policies nationally. Continuing Professional Development is actively encouraged.
