Housing Options Officer (Support) - West Sussex - Immediate Start
Job Type: Temporary

Location: London (South-West)
Rate: GBP13.00 p/h - GBP16.00 p/h LTD (Dependent On Experience)
Are you looking for a foot in the door into Housing Options? Or do you have experience within Housing currently and are looking for a change? My Client based in West Sussex is looking for several officers to join their growing Housing Solutions team!
About the Role
* Reporting to the Housing Solutions Manager
* To provide appropriate confidential and impartial face to face advice and assistance to households at risk of homelessness
* Providing home visits as and when necessary
* Liaise with other housing, health and social care professionals, benefits, welfare and advocacy agencies, and landlords and other agencies as appropriate
* To implement, update and review personal housing plans which are agreeable to both the household and the Council
* Previous experience required using Housing Systems would be beneficial
* It isn't necessary to have worked in Housing Options before, but an appreciation of the role is needed as you'll be a part of the Housing Solutions team
About You
* Up to date with and have an in depth working knowledge of current housing law and legislation
* Knowledge of the upcoming Homelessness Reduction Act and the possible implications
* Experience using various Housing Systems - such as Northgate or Capita
* Ideally have had minimum 1 years experience in a customer facing role within housing
* A proven track record of networking skills, partnership and multi-agency working
