Training contract opportunity: Property Paralegal sought for CQS accredited firm with a view to undertaking a training contract after 6 months.

It is long established within the legal community and employs lawyers and support staff who are experts in their chosen fields. The firm possesses many positive client testimonials and recommendations from their client base which is drawn from the Midlands and surrounding areas including London. Due to sustained success, the firm is now recruiting for a Property Paralegal to work in its office in cathedral city Lichfield, which is located close to an array of local amenities and good transport links.

The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Paralegal who has experience in Residential Conveyancing to support fee earners at a strongly performing firm. You will undertake a variety of duties which will include: assisting with the progression of cases in the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal; managing portfolios of lease extensions and enfranchisements involving liaising with landlords and tenants; supporting Solicitors dealing with complex specialist property transactions, assisting with research and document preparation; assisting fee earners regarding enfranchisement work and giving advice; assisting the Director with Commercial Property work including the sales and purchases of Commercial properties and; assisting with the progression of claims, providing client care throughout, regular communication and result driven service.

Additionally, you will undertake marketing and administrative tasks which will include: assisting in marketing presentations with other team members; assisting in marketing the firm's services; deputising for other team members during their absence from the office; assisting in staff training; filing of post, scanning of documents and general file preparation and management and; arranging client interviews and managing client's expectations.

Solid IT skills are required for the role as your work will include: producing documentation using digital dictation technology; using the Land Registry Direct Portal and other internet-based resources; using the firm's standard letters, forms and procedures; preparing PowerPoint presentations to landlords and tenants and; assisting with the firm's deeds storage facility and updating the registers and online records accordingly. In return, the firm offers a competitive salary and the possibility of a training contract which may be offered after a minimum of 6 months working in the Paralegal role.

The Candidate
Applications are encouraged from Paralegals with solid Residential Property experience gained from a reputable firm.
Having completed the LPC, you will have a law degree classification at 2:1 or above.
Your organisational skills in meeting deadlines will be of a high standard.
Your communication skills will be excellent.
With excellent keyboard skills, you will be able to demonstrate well developed IT skills.
The ability to work to a timetable and to work under pressure are key attributes sought in applications to the role.
The successful Property Paralegal will be flexible in their approach to work and be able to prioritise tasks.
Attention to detail is essential.
Overall, you will demonstrate a willingness to promote the firm's ethos and values.
