Apprentice Recreation Assistant x 2
Hours: 35 Hours per week on a rota basis
Fixed Term Contract – 15 months
Grade: Apprentice
Salary: Starting from £7,665 dependant on age
Marjon Sport is looking to appoint two Apprentice Recreation Assistants to join our team to assist, monitor and supervise customers in the Marjon Sports Centre. Specific responsibilities include lifeguarding, fitness room supervision, security, cleanliness, safety of customers and emergency procedures and ensuring customer satisfaction.
You will undertake a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Instructing Exercise and Fitness you will also be required to obtain the NPLQ national pool lifeguard certificate, A DBS check will be required.
Candidates should ideally have a commitment to sport and recreation and be strong swimmers. Individuals selected for interview will be expected to undertake a swimming test.
Unfortunately due to funding requirements we cannot consider candidates who have undertaken a Degree/qualification in a related subject as funding can only be accessed for individuals who when taking on this apprenticeship will need significant new knowledge and skills.
