THE COLLEGE: Portland College is a leading specialist college; working with disabled people to develop their employability, independence and communication skills. They are situated in a beautiful 32 acre woodland campus in the historic Sherwood Forest area of Mansfield , Nottinghamshire.
THE ROLE:The Finance Assistant role is a new role within the college and is currently a temp role of 3 - 6 months which could become permanent.
The Finance Assistant role will involve developing systems to maintain contracts including invoicing and debt recovery for our growing Portland Freedom provision. Regular administrative tasks include data input, minute taking, general admin duties, creation and upkeep of excel spreadsheets and sales ledger maintenance, so an eye for detail is essential to succeed in the role.

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the Finance Assistant role will need to be well-organised, used to high volume accurate data entry, confident and motivated, with great attention to detail. You will also have some form of previous experience in a Finance / Accounts based role and have experience of using at least one form of Accounting software
