Production Operator: Engraving
GBP15,268 per annum
This is a varied and skilled position within a very busy production department, manufacturing a broad range of products, from name badges, to Braille signs to large format printing.
The job holder will be expected to master the various production techniques used including foil printing, digital print, heat transfer, sublimation print, vinyl application, plastic forming, light assembly and specifically computerised engraving. The principal role is operating computerised engraving machines.
The position requires an eye for detail as many of the items we handle are small. It also requires high standards of accuracy as many of the products are individually personalised with the users name and logo.
Keyboard skills are essential as much of the work is computer based. Some experience of small tools and light engineering may also be helpful. A print or signage background will be a distinct advantage.
The ability to work under time pressure, to work accurately, to be tidy and well organised and operate within a small team are essential. As the company has a history of developing new products and introducing new production techniques it is essential that the job holder is receptive to change and able to adapt.
Training will be in-house, although it may be necessary to attend specific training courses.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. 30 min lunch break
