We have an exciting opportunity for a leading joinery firm in Leicester for an experienced CNC Setter who can operate multiple machines in the workshop.

We are looking for an experienced engineer who is comfortable running more than 1 machine at a time and has both CNC setting and operating experience.

The Job: CNC Setter Operator

• Good knowledge of operating controls
• Homag or Morbidelli machine experience would be an advantage
• Operating a 5 axis and 3 axis machines
• Capable of reading technical drawings.
• Experienced at working to close tolerances
• Setting tools and producing parts to tight tolerances from customer drawings
• Prototype, one off, repeat, small batch work to volume orders
• Mainly small batch work required so setting experience is essential
• Joinery industry experience would be an advantage but not essential

The Job: CNC Setter experience required:

• Setting and operating CNC machinery previously
• Ability to work on a 3 and a 5-xis machine
• Engineering background
• Machine shop experience
• Any programming experience would be an advantage,
• You will be able to complete your own quality control checks including using hand-held measuring experience.

CNC Job Details:

• Hours of work will be from 7.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
• Hourly rate of up to GBP11 per hour
• Joinery or wood machine experience would be an advantage
