Lecturer in Business

Part-time, 0.6FTE | Permanent | £13,801-£19,811 P/A (pro rata of £23,001-£33,018)

We require an experienced Lecturer for the College’s Business Academy providing teaching and lecturing on a variety of modules in FE Business Levels 2 and 3, and HE Business Levels 4 and 5. 

We are looking for a tutor with experience of teaching courses awarded by BTEC and OCR. We welcome candidates with particular experience in business finance, law and human resources, as well as an interest in topic areas such as social enterprise, social media and e-business.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach and assess learning for UK and international learners on a variety of business–related topics. UK learners are over 16 with varying abilities, and our international learners predominately come from Malaysia, Indonesia and China. Classes are taught during term-time from September to July, and there are some twilight and evening sessions.

The successful candidate should have a degree in a relevant subject, preferably a teaching qualification for the FE sector and a good track record in teaching, learning and assessment. The role will require excellent organisational and communication skills and an innovative approach to teaching, learning and motivating learners.

Teaching experience preferred; however, the College will support the right candidate to gain their teaching qualification.

Anticipated start date is July 2018.
