Project Manager

Winning Moves is a fast-growing consultancy with data at the heart of everything we do.  In our 21st year of business, we are now seeking a talented and ambitious Project Manager to join our busy and lively team. 

On a day to day basis, you will support our consultants and directors to deliver projects on time, in scope, to budget and critically to a standard that ‘wows’ our clients.  You’ll be part of our centralised project management function, working alongside an existing team of PMs and Project Coordinators that help to make our business run brilliantly.

We are experts in our field and are the trusted advisers and critical friends to a range of high profile, international clients across the public, private and third sectors including numerous international, central and local government bodies as well as the United Nations.  The work you'll do will be important as it will help our clients to make informed decisions and set future policy that really makes a difference. 

We're looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference, who prides themselves on being the best project manager possible and who works well independently or as part of team.  Ideally you’ll have at least 3 years experience of project management and some experience in the research and evaluation field (though this is not critical).  You’ll be expected to roll your sleeves up and make sure things get done by mucking in yourself.  Yes you’ll need to oversee and make sure your team delivers to agreed deadlines, but you’ll also need to be capable and willing to provide real, practical support so that your projects achieve the required outputs.  Importantly, you should be different, better, faster, fun, ethical and agile in your personality and you approach to work – we’re awesome to work with because we love what we do and we want to work with people that think and behave alike.

On a day to day basis, you will:

• ensure that client expectations are met in the delivery of projects, by ensuring that specifications are clearly communicated and documented and by keeping the client involved throughout the project delivery
• to provide support and guidance to clients to assist with the adoption and integration of the products and services developed
• to have responsibility for the income and profitability of client projects
• to ensure projects are delivered in line with Company quality and impact targets
• seek opportunities to grow the value of existing client relationships
• support winning of work by inputting to bids and attendance at pitch meetings as required

Experience:

Essential

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• PRINCE2 project management
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing client-facing projects
• Experience of delivering research and evaluation projects
• Track record of supporting bids, proposals and responding to tenders to help win work
• Experience of writing and delivering presentations
• Experience of motivating and managing project teams to deliver on time, in scope, to budget and to client satisfaction
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to assimilate information quickly

Desirable:
