Are you a Workshop Technician with strong mechanical knowledge of 2/4 stroke engines? We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Workshop Technician to join a busy team for an outdoor power tools manufacturing company based in Newton Aycliffe. Offering a competitive salary plus excellent benefits, working Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm.
As Workshop Technician you will be offering technical support and training within the business and you will be maintaining small engine and electronic equipment. The position is a brand new position due to increased sales and will be mainly office based, working within a busy team.
Your main responsibilities will be to support the After Sales Manager and team in all aspects of after sales support for the UK. You will be providing technical support on the help desk for dealers and develop technical support systems for product training. Duties will also include the repair and maintenance of many types of small equipment used in the ground care industry, evaluating and repairing machines returned to the workshop and reworking bonded products.
Ideally you will have at least 5 years experience in a Workshop or Service Technician role and be fully competent in the service and repair of all automated garden products. You will need to have a strong mechanical understanding and be familiar with 2/4 stroke engine products. It is essential to have excellent communication skills and be IT literate; you must hold a valid driving license.
