Building Test Technician

FINTEC recruit is seeking a Building Test Technician for our client based in Berkshire.

This is a permanent position with a salary of £22,000 - £26,000 Per Annum

Responsibilities

• To carry out short term testing of electrical, electromagnetic and other types of building testing
• Monitoring the voltage, current and power quality in electrical supplies
• Measuring Electromagnetic fields to comply with Health and Safety Regulations.
• Thermal imaging electrical installations
• Thermal imaging of buildings to check thermal insulation
• Monitoring temperature and humidity in buildings
• Monitoring energy performance of buildings
• Measuring moisture content of building materials in situ
• Checking operating temperatures of lighting and electrical equipment
• Measuring the performance of lighting installation
• Providing findings reports with recommendations

Requirements

• BTEC National Diploma or equivalent in Electrical installation
• An understanding of building construction
• Good level of spoken and written English
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent report writing skills
• Time management skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Pragmatic with a flexible approach
• Co-operative attitude to work colleagues
• Ability to approach tasks positively with confidence and enthusiasm
• Ability to persevere through difficulties to complete tasks and keen to take on new challenges
