Our Human Resources Department is a vital part of our team and we have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated HR Professional to partner the Senior Management Team in driving the HR strategy through the business.

We are the private jet maintenance division of the world’s largest network of aviation services Fixed Base Operators (FBOs), with over 200 locations providing a consistent, exceptional service to Business / Private Jet VIP customers. We are also part of a leading global aviation FTSE 250 Group.

HR Director Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will sit on the Senior Executive Team. They will advise and influence on all employment and workforce matters and develop, implement and monitor a comprehensive HR strategy ensuring that we attract and retain diverse talent in an environment where leadership, motivation and effectiveness are maximised. 

Strong on influencing key stakeholders, you will work with colleagues on a number of initiatives, including developing new ways of working and models, driving higher performance and productivity and influencing culture.

You will take EMEA responsibility for legal compliance and developing policies and procedures that reflect our identity as an employer. Having had experience of working in a matrixed management team you will work collaboratively with other leads within the HR function to ensure the overall HR offering is as effective as it possible can be.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

+ Educated to degree standard.
+ CIPD qualification with chartered member status, ideally holding a master degree.
+ 5 years’ experience in a busy HR function in aviation, transport, service, logistics or manufacturing industries
+ HR experience in a multi-national matrix organisation.
+ Previous experience of leading an international HR team.
+ At least 2 years’ experience of Business Partnering in a commercial environment.
+ Proven track record in successfully dealing with complex employee relations issues
+ Proven ability to deliver HR interventions and solutions to meet business needs.
+ Proven track record of developing terms & conditions to meet business requirements and reduce inequalities within the workplace.
+ Up to date knowledge of current and future employment legislation and best practice.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Excellent influencing and coaching skills
+ Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure
+ A second language is desirable.
