Job Title: Group Accounts Payable Manager

Location: Glasgow (Eurocentral)

Salary: £42,000 - £63,000 depending on skills and experience + annual bonus + car / cash allowance.

Permanent | Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available

Role

Our client is looking for a Group Accounts Payable Manager who will report into the Director of Financial Operations, the Group Accounts Payable Manager (GAPM) will work to drive collective improvements to the provision of Financial Operations and will also sponsor continuous improvement initiatives to improve the performance of the AP division against divisional KPI's.

You will drive improvements in the Procure to Pay cycle in partnership with Procurement colleagues and ensure that the function is compliant with Group wide obligations under initiatives such as the Prompt Payment Code and Anti-Financial Crime regulations.

The GAPM will ensure that onboarding of further activities is undertaken effectively and efficiently. Responsible for operational management of the AP function, the GAPM will ensure that the function is fit for purpose to support the payable activities of a Plc

The Group AP Manager will also have responsibility for ensuring control and governance through: (i) documented procedures and processes; (ii) segregation of duties; (iii) identification and management of risk, and (iv) a clear Assurance Framework for the function.

Your Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone with a background in a high performing service centre which includes payables and other transactional finance activates. The must have sound knowledge of the control environment required in an AP function and have a clear track record of leading and delivering continuous improvement projects.

Our new Group Accounts Payable Manager will be numerate and organised with a track record of delivering quality work at pace. Risk aware, they will have a sound understanding of control and governance and will have the skills to enforce these robustly across the team. A confident and skilled communicator they will be able to interact and influence with a wide range of stakeholders.

Using their significant management experience, they will be able to influence positive behavioural change across their 5 Direct and 40 indirect reports and will be skilled at creating a culture of sharing best practice and continuous improvement.
