Purchasing Manager required to ensure the cost-effective purchasing of all direct and indirect materials, equipment and services.
The position is full time and is office based over two local sites working closely with the operations team.
Role will include
A range of purchasing including CapEx and OpEx
Management of current supplier relationships with the Uk and overseas. Sourcing new suppliers and negotiating prices and terms
Liaise with the shipping companies to arrange deliveries.
Complete implementation and use of the business computer system (Sage 50) within the purchasing function.
Effectively mange the material supply and stock.
A background in electrical products and components would be an advantage but not essential.
The role involves some man-management and the need to be self reliant as well as working within the operations team. We are looking for an excellent communicator with exceptional organisational and negations skills.
A Mobile phone will be supplied to assist with the job, free onsite parking
Salary will depend on experience and qualifications.
