Our client is an independent training provider that has been helping young people move forward with their lives for over 30 years.

An excellent opportunity has become available for a self-motivated, target orientated individual who has the drive to support young people. As their Recruitment Officer, you will recruit students onto appropriate training programmes and safeguard the welfare of all students, preventing radicalisation and promoting British values.

You will undertake activities that result in students being recruited and started on training programmes including; marketing, outreach, contacts with local agencies, training providers and other referral sources, recruitment initiatives and attending/hosting recruitment fairs, local events, pop up shops and networking meetings. You will also host information sessions for potential new starts and interview students, accurately completing supporting paperwork.

Using social media to raise the company profile, you will maintain a database of referral sources and manage those relationships to gain further business. No two days are the same; manage your own diary to achieve targets and inspire their students!

So if you are highly motivated and have a positive, bubbly and engaging personality, then they would love to hear from you! All they ask is that you hold a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (or are working towards this) and have working knowledge of a variety of social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter.

With excellent organisation and communication skills, you will be able to communicate professionally with referral/support agencies and persuade and influence others, dealing with conflicting and sometimes challenging behaviour. You’ll need to be persistent and tenacious but be able to work well under pressure and meet targets and deadlines. The confidence to “cold-call” and present to groups of people is a pre-requisite, as is competence in the use of IT.

Those who have sales, marketing or recruitment experience are highly desirable, as are those who have experience of working with 16-18 year olds. Those who hold an IAG qualification at Level 3/4 would also be of distinct advantage.

This role may involve working outside the normal 08:30 – 16:30 working pattern in order to attend recruitment events/activities, including but not exclusive to; youth clubs, job fairs and local events. This is a permanent position and full and part time will be considered.

The welfare of their students is paramount therefore the successful candidate will be subject to a DBS check.

This is a Blue Octopus Recruitment Ltd vacancy who are operating as an employment agency. Once you have clicked to apply for this vacancy, we will then send you more information on the role including a copy of the application form via email.
