A dynamic leadership role in one of the South West’s biggest cities
In response to retirement, a vacancy has arisen for the Chief Executive Officer of PVCSE.
We are a Plymouth based charity, incorporated in October 2016 with the purpose of consolidating and advancing the Third Sector in and around the City. We currently have 180 organisational members – a membership we are seeking to grow over the coming years.
PVCSE currently has an inherited contract with Plymouth City Council to jointly and individually promote the growth and development of Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise organisations in the city and, in October 2017 the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation commissioned PVCSE to undertake a five year programme of initiatives to consolidate the contribution of the Sector to the delivery of an inspirational and dynamic city. Additionally, the CEO will be challenged to improve the quality of services provided by the Public, Private and Third Sectors through innovative approaches and partnerships, collaborative action and, where possible, joint commissioning. The CEO will therefore be expected to lead, inspire and manage a well motivated team of staff to make a real difference to the lives of people who live and work in Plymouth. In this, the CEO will be accountable to, and supported by, a highly committed Board of Trustees, a number of effective and related sectoral networks, the member organisations and a highly developed network of citywide contacts at every level
Do you have the experience, expertise and dynamism needed to pursue this role at a turning point for Plymouth’s future?
If you would welcome the challenge, we would like to hear from you.
