Our client is a leading supplier of LPG for homes and businesses across the UK. Renowned for excellence in delivering value and a high quality service, they pride themselves on going above and beyond for their customers.

They currently have an exciting opportunity for an Applications Project Engineer to project manage the installation of turn-key installations including Large LPG Supply schemes, Hot Water/Steam/Biomass Applications, CHP, and Heat Pumps from conceptualisation to hand-over. This may include electrical works, plumbing works, civils and system design.

You will ensure that projects are delivered safely, to budget and on time, and will develop risk management strategy for complex projects, including CDM documentation where required. Further responsibilities include the specification of appropriate technical solutions alongside cost and time estimates to facilitate the sales process as well as ordering, scheduling and delivery of resources and consumables at the disposal of the Applications engineer. You’ll manage a range of internal and external stakeholders including clients, contractors and staff during the execution of the projects and conduct audits, HSE investigations and incident reports as required.

The ability to make justified decisions as to the options available when designing solutions and forming technical proposals is required, combined with a sound understanding of how the company’s HSE MS applies to the role.

Our client is looking for someone who is educated to a good standard, who is computer literate including the use of Microsoft Office and CRM/GBS systems. You’ll have a technical understanding of heating and heat distribution technologies, alongside CHP, heat-pump and generation technologies, a full clean driving licence and a fundamental project management qualification. Good time management and organisation skills are a must, combined with experience of risk assessment, documentation and control as well as experience of practical risk management (IOSH desirable). With a strong customer focus, you’ll have the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people, combined with the ability to manage and control subcontractors and staff on site.
