An opportunity has arisen within the College Health & Safety Department for an enthusiastic individual to join the team. You will be required to provide a high level efficient, confidential and comprehensive employer work placement assessment, and operational service, in line with service level agreements and performance standards.

You will be expected to undertake employer health and safety risk assessments at their premises and make judgement on their suitability and regulatory compliance. You will promote and assist with the development and improvement of safety across college activities and provide guidance and support to the administrative team. You will maintain the database and relevant documentation relating to work placement activity, produce reports, and review policies accordingly.

In addition, to aid effective departmental functionality, you will be required to participate in operational activities such as; attendance at meetings, fire drills, area inspections and safety tours, first aid provision and distribution of resources/equipment across the campus.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year’s practical experience of assessing and monitoring health and safety performance in the workplace, a NEBOSH National General Certificate.  A willingness to work flexibly, have access to your own car and travel to employer’s sites is a key requirement.
