to join our Estate team.
Gardener Overview
The Gardener will assist the Head Gardener and other members of the gardening team in ensuring that the Estate is maintained to the highest standard with regard to presentation and safety. The Gardener position offers a varied range of duties including planting out, nursery work, garden maintenance, grass cutting and garden restoration work. This role would suit a person seeking a career in landscaping or horticulture in general.
Attributes & Experience
Candidates should be able to demonstrate previous experience of garden maintenance and an interest in horticulture.
Should be a flexible, co-operative individual ready to work in a team environment.
Must enjoy outdoor working.
About the Hotel
The gardens and grounds are spectacular and attract hordes of visitors in their own right. The Tylney Hall country house hotel stands in its own 66 acres of glorious parkland and boasts the longest uninterrupted view in Hampshire which is flanked by two lines of mature Redwoods that march to the distant horizon. Pride of place though belongs to the individual historic gardens, originally designed by the renowned gardener and planter, Gertrude Jekyll, and which have been lovingly tended over the last 30 years by our team of dedicated gardeners led by Paul Tattersdill.
