GBPcompetitive salary and benefits including access to pool car as required
Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:30 + required to be "on-call"

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fleet Maintenance Controller to join a successful specialist transport business (fuel tankers) operating throughout the UK. Reporting to the Fleet Manager, you will look after all UK sites' maintenance requirements and will become part of a friendly, successful team. You'll have responsibility for all day to day operations of the fleet ensuring that all trucks and tankers are legally compliant, proactively managing all aspects of fleet maintenance. You will be required to be on call to support and resolve any fleet issues. Responsibilities will include:
• Dealing with breakdowns in a timely manner
• Planning all preventative maintenance inspections
• Arranging, managing and authorising Fleet repairs
• Managing security and H&S inspections
• Booking MOT/ADR tests, vehicle inspections, brake tests
• Ordering and installation of cab equipment
• Control of service providers and issuing non-conformity reports
• Manage manufacturer's warranty processes, policies and procedures
• Cost control, balancing customer requirements with commercial awareness
Candidate Requirements:
• Suitable industry qualifications / time served to demonstrate experience within the industry. Background in engineering, commercial vehicle, tankers would be an advantage
• PET REG knowledge / awareness
• A good general level of vehicle knowledge. Ideally with HGV and or Tanker experience.
• Ability to control maintenance costs and challenge if necessary
• Business standard IT skills, including Excel
• Excellent communication and customer care skills
• Team Player
• Integrity, initiative and focus
• Good self-starter with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to work on your own and under pressure
• Well organised individual with excellent time management and prioritisation skills
Training and support with continuous development will be available to the successful candidate.
