The Company:
Our client is a brand leading publishing company specialising in web, app, print and direct delivery products and services within the global superyacht industry.
Their office is based in the newly refurbished ITV building (now called HERE) but with opportunities for travel to overseas international yachting shows and events in locations such as Monaco, Cannes and Florida amongst others.
The Role:
To head up a busy departmental team, managing their corporate website and mobile app, including all subsidiary and related websites and digital platforms/communications. To provide the best user experience, draw advertisers, increase revenue, communicate key brand messages, increase traffic and conversions, improve rankings and SEO, deliver results and extend the overall value and reach of Media Group.
A keen attention to aiding sales revenue generation in dealing with their digital products and external digital communications is paramount to the role.
Overview of Role Requirements:
- SEO: Link building, Onsite SEO, Anchor text and keywords
- Google Analytics and Tag Manager
- PPC
- HTML and CSS (at least a basic working knowledge)
- PHP and Javascript (desirable)
- Email Campaigns and Platforms (Mailchimp)
- CRO and UX
- Content Writing
- Social Media
- People Management
Areas of Responsibility:
Development & SEO:
- Work to ensure that the website and digital products/services are of the highest quality, delivered in a timely manner, on budget, and in a way that meets client expectations
- Analyse UX videos, test changes and improve conversions across the website, app and any other digital products
- To come up with development plans for our digital products and create proof of concept, scope, estimate costs and time required and work with various suppliers to execute plans from concept to completion
- Create and implement on-page SEO and technical SEO best practices across our digital products
- To head up PPC and online paid-advertising campaigns
- To have an excellent working knowledge of our platforms and systems
- In association with colleagues and suppliers design, develop, troubleshoot, debug and implement software code using languages/tools such as HTML 5, PHP, Java script, CMS system
- Using Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and similar tools analyse site traffic statistics, identify issues/trends, and make recommendations to management on site changes/improvements
- Using SEMRush analyse competitors back links, monitor company link building, identify technical issues and improve rankings
- Monitor Google Search Console ensuring there are no URL errors, technical issues and malware alerts, reporting on anomalies and concerns and providing statistics on rankings and keywords
- To report on KPI achievements
- To liaise with suppliers on technical issues with the website and mobile app
- To research, source and commission external suppliers able to offer relevant, cost effective services for new and existing projects
Content Creation:
- Oversee, develop, implement and manage the company site and related websites - including format, design and functionality, to consistently improve traffic, conversions and user experience
- To work with the Content Marketing Manager to create and implement a content marketing strategy
- To support the Content Marketing Manager to ensure content for social media channels is engaging and consistent
- Adapt graphics, text and other content for use on our website and in web based communications (e.g. e-newsletters, direct mailers, PR, digital orders, email campaigns)
- Ensure best practices are applied to all communications
- To write and publish web-only articles utilising keywords and meta data for maximum SEO
- To write and process online orders to support the team
- To work with the marketing department to help generate testimonials for use in marketing material and website
Productivity:
- Keep track of all branded online coverage for company activities
- Where possible identify and implement new processes and procedures to increase workflow and minimise required resources
- Fully leverage new technologies in close cooperation with line manager and IT
- Serve as internal expert on company website design standards (both legal compliances, technical and graphic)
- Identify and raise to management any issues involving content or technical aspects of the company website and related sites that pose opportunities, threats or concerns
- Ensure the Digital team meet deadlines for client advert and listing production for inclusion on the website and app
Communication & Management:
- To mentor and motivate the team to ensure a happy working environment that delivers results
- Encourage and train staff to increase productivity and value of service and identify training opportunities
- Manage staff schedules and workloads effectively to meet daily production requirements, accommodate needs for special training, vacation replacements, new equipment implementation, etc.
- To actively oversee and process digital orders to ensure deadlines and commitments are met
- If required to conduct face to face market research at international boat shows

- 8am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
