Advance are looking to employ Grade 2 Casual to Permanent Support Workers for the Redruth & St Austell areas to work with specific customers as part of our outreach team, providing practical assistance and emotional support to enable them to live a rich and varied life as part of the community in which they reside. This is a new and exciting development for Advance within Cornwall which, ultimately, we aim to expand to include the whole County.
Salary: GBP15,309.61 - GBP17,244.70 per annum/pro rata
Up to 37.5 hours per week. This will include some days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
(We are a flexible company and would welcome applications from those looking for hours who may have some other commitments which you will be asking us to taken into consideration.)

About the role:
Working in an environment which encourages a person-centred approach to enable customers to realise their hopes, dreams and aspirations
Providing support to individuals to meet their particular needs as identified within their support plan enabling them to make informed choices while promoting their privacy and dignity.Duties may include (but is not limited to):
Personal care (showering and/or bathing)
Palliative care
Laundry and housework
Food preparation and cooking
Budgeting and shopping
Monitoring and/or administering medications
Being active in the community (employment, study, volunteering and/or leisure activities)
Maintaining relationships with family and friends
Social activities
Accompanying customers to appointments and/or on excursions
Working in partnership with other agencies and organisations
