Lecturer - Computing

Salary: £24,689 - £33,113

Contract Type: Full Time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, Fixed Term from 1/09/2018 to 31/08/2019.

We are currently recruiting for a Lecturer in Computing to join our Hi Tech & Digital team on a fixed term basis.  You will undertake teaching duties, including lesson and programme preparation, teaching, tutorials and student assessment and will be responsible for the delivery of Computing to Further Education learners and also Computer Science for 14-16 direct entry.  You may also be required to teach across a range of programmes including Higher Education, A-Level, other GCSE programmes and Functional Skills.

Candidates will need to have a relevant level 3 qualification or above in Computing Science or Computing and IT, to cover hardware systems, networking, spreadsheets, databases, programming, mobile app, games development and website development.  You will need to have evidence of continued professional development and experience working in the Computing/IT sector.  The successful candidate will need to be willing to attain a teaching qualification within the College’s specified timescale, if not already held.
