Our client are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and highly organised team player with a good working knowledge of urban design issues and a genuine interest in the environment. The ideal candidate will possess post qualification experience gained in a design practice working on urban design and masterplanning projects at a variety of scales however, the client would also consider applications from exceptional individuals with less direct experience. You will have first class computer and graphic skills, confident presentation and negotiation ability, ideally an understanding of the development industry and some experience of other environmental disciplines would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be able to visually communicate using a range of medium including AutoCAD/Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D design software and hand drawing. Working knowledge of GIS software would be an advantage. Supporting the senior team, the role will include the production of all typical masterplanning services, including: feasibility appraisals; concept schemes; urban design appraisals; preparation of public consultation materials; Design and Access Statements and masterplans.
You will have the opportunity to develop your masterplanning skills by working closely with an existing team of experienced masterplanners and learning directly from the other core disciplines within the company. The salary for this post is to be agreed based on qualifications and experience and will form part of an excellent benefits package.
