Job Title: Sales & Business Development Manager

Salary: Competitive Basic Salary plus Commission & Incentives

Location: Office based in Northamptonshire 1 day per week, 4 days remotely within the UK 

Sales & Business Development Manager

An expert in the design, supply and implantation of chemical dosing systems are currently seeking a Sales & Business Development Manager to join their team.

As Sales & Business Development Manager you will be generating new business opportunities within the application of disinfection and chemical treatment of water throughout a variety of industrial sectors. You will work closely with customers and existing technical staff in order to achieve key growth objectives; primarily to open up new accounts and to further grow existing accounts. This will include taking ownership of the existing clients relationship to ensure customer satisfaction with current deliverables (proposals, discussions, current projects) and to identify and secure new revenue streams for both current and new service offerings.

The successful Sales & Business Development Manager will closely work within the business functions to deliver the Company objectives.

Your duties at Sales & Business Development Manager will include the following:-

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the Sales Plan for the UK in conjunction with Management Team.
  • Identify new business opportunities and qualifying these through customer meetings, utilising internal staff to develop solutions and commercial offers to clients.
  • Network within existing and new clients to ensure our product offering is widely understood
  • Negotiate with clients to secure business opportunities.
  • Ensure a smooth handover of the delivery and commercial aspects of orders.
  • Deliver the agreed sales and profitability targets.
  • Prepare forecasts and reports.
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with clients.
  • Support the Commercial Director in sales and marketing functions.
  • Provide reports as required by senior management and/or internal functions to support Prodose business management (i.e. Sales forecasts, Account Development Plans, profitability for key clients).
  • Lead the implementation of new business development processes.
  • Work in collaboration with external Marketing company and commercial director to co-ordinate marketing and sales functions

The successful candidate will:

  • Possess a passion for the sales and networking processes,
  • Be independent, proactive and hands-on with a self-starter mentality.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and be a strong personal communicator with excellent presentation skills.
  • Be educated to reasonable level in a technical or commercial discipline or show a proven track record of being able to deliver at a competent level.
  • Excellent verbal critical reasoning skills and have good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Be pro-active with the ability to work independently demonstrating a highly customer focused approach.
  • Strong PC Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Location

The candidate will be required to attend the office in Northamptonshire on a twice monthly basis. Initial training and induction may require more frequent attendance at the office. However, the successful candidate will be expected to regularly meet customers in their locations, and therefore will have the opportunity to work remotely within the UK.
