Penguin are pleased to be working with one of the UK's leading Design consultancies on an Urban Designer position with their Bristol Office. If you are an enthusiastic and talented individual who would like to join a stimulating, creative and sociable masterplanning and urban design team, then we would be very keen to hear from you.
Working from conceptual proposals to Urban Design strategies and Development Frameworks our client work on a variety of projects that can include large-scale inner city regeneration, urban extensions and the creation of new communities.
The Masterplanning & Urban Design team brings together a wide range of skills and knowledge to projects, enabling them to deliver imaginative and commercially viable design-led solutions that benefit their investor and the wider community. They provide distinctive and sustainable developments based on a firm understanding of integration into existing movement networks, the current landscape or the surrounding urban fabric.
The successful Urban Designer will hold:
-An urban design qualification
-A passion for urban design and a strong design flair
-An interest in masterplanning new communities in the UK
-Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD and Sketch Up essential
-Excellent communication skills and report writing ability
-Good hand drawing skills
-Good organisation skills and a pro-active, friendly manner
