Agile Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location:Guilford and Slough - Mobile
Hours:Can include days, nights and weekends (45 = Summer, 35 = Winter)
Package -GBP8.50 per hour + Pension, holiday, ongoing training and other company benefits
Mitie is recruiting for an Agile Worker to join our Landscapes team. The Agile Grounds Maintenance Operative will be on a full-time contract and will be working on our highly recognised and well respected clients within the GU and SL postcode area. The operative will be expected to be on hand at all times and able to transport themselves within the designated areas at any given time within their shift
Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Agile Grounds Maintenance Operative will carry out outstanding Ground Maintenance duties to achieve Mitie and client standards to maintain our 5-star reputation and exceed customer expectation and any other reasonable ad-hoc duty.
Our Agile Grounds Maintenance Operative- the role:
- The Agile Grounds Maintenance Operative will be required to ensure that all sites and external areas are maintained to an exceptional and reputable standard.
- Cutting grassed areas/Shrubberies/Hedgerows efficiently, will be part of the Agile Worker's role.
- The Agile Grounds Maintenance Operative will carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
- Driving company vehicles, ensuring they are kept in full tact and any maintenance issues are reported in a prompt manner.
- Providing swift solutions for any requests, complaints or queries - reporting them to the correct department OR escalating if need be.
- The Agile Grounds Maintenance Operative will provide management with relevant information/reporting as required
- Will be reporting any site issues to the Contracts Manager
Key skills/experience of an Agile Grounds Maintenance Operative:
- Due to the nature of the works, the person must be physically fit and agile
- The new Agile Grounds Maintenance Operative will have a basic understanding of mobile phone/text services use
- Great communication skills, customer service, time maintenance/organisational skills & people skills
- Flexibility to suit the needs of the business.
- UK Driving license, PA1 & PA6 spraying license (Essential)
