The Dartington Hall Trust is seeking a successor to build on the achievements of the current Artistic Director, Joanna MacGregor, to grow and lead the Dartington International Summer School & Festival for three years from 2020.

The Dartington International Summer School & Festival is a world-class festival of music and learning, comprising workshops, masterclasses and a full programme of evening concerts and performance.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to build on our creative and commercial ambition and forge a three-year artistic vision for the Summer School & Festival, devising the artistic content for the programme of courses and public concerts within the remit and ethos of the Dartington Hall Trust.

You will have an in-depth knowledge of artists and repertoire embracing the whole spectrum of musical experience. Keenly interested in other arts forms, you will be committed to music education in the broadest sense.

Able to attract new audiences whilst nurturing our existing loyal audiences, you will have excellent professional networks, a collaborative working approach and an understanding and experience of the cost management of courses, concerts and projects.

As Artistic Director, you will find inspiration in the vision of the Dartington Hall Trust as well as having your own creative vision for a music programme that is diverse, accessible, progressive and inspirational to artists, participants, bursary students and concert goers.
