An exciting job opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Administrator to join the team at a fast paced Marine Company based in Plymouth.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter who will perform a range of accounts and administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the Company.

They will have excellent communication skills and have relevant experience in Accounting.


DUTIES WILL INCLUDE
 

Receiving payments over the phone and in person

Chasing overdue accounts via telephone & email

Monitor & adjust credit limits to meet customer needs whilst avoiding the risk of bad debt

Other duties associated with credit control

Liaising with the sales team

Setting up new customers on an in house database

Entering & matching purchase invoices to orders

Checking of statements

Help dealing with supplier invoice queries and chasing for credits

Other duties as required



ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Previous Accounting experience especially within credit control
Ability to proactively organise the working day to deal with different parts of the role

Resolve issues in a timely effective manner

Work to tight deadlines

Knowledge of word, excel and outlook with the ability to learn new software packages

Experience in handling confidential information
UK driving licence
